Tax break didn't provide enough money to go to one?

Original PP here. I didn't actually get much of a tax break. I have high SALT amounts, which off-set the reduction in marginal rate. Part of me really wants to experience the ability to cheer loudly for Trump without fear of physical harm.

Cuz you aren't a billionaire. Go figure.

But you do like to play victim.

I'd like my kids to be able to go to school without fear of being shot and having to practice lockdowns, but we can't all get what we want.

I'm sorry you didn't get your tax break like the very wealthy did. Perhaps you should go to a Trump rally and ask Trump why the very rich, himself included, got a huge tax break and you didn't.

Are you justifying that it's okay to make Trump supporters like me be fearful for our physical safety? I want the best for my kids as well, but I don't find it necessary to physically threaten/attack someone who hold different political ideas than me. I hope you don't pass on your violent nature to your kids.

With regards to taxes - it's okay, I know that people who make more than me with a similar balance of income source is paying a higher rate. I am grateful for the opportunities that this country has provided me, and am proud to be among the taxpayers that pay more into the system than what we consume out of it. This is what I teach my kids, that civilization only moves forward when we contribute more to society than what we get in return. The excess value is what improves other people's lives beyond their current circumstances.

Virginia is solid Blue at this point it's similar to Colorado. Both states have had migration from other areas and most of the transplants are blue

It's going to be close again

Solid D 228
Solid R 213

Battleground

FL 29
PA 20
MI 16
AZ 11
WI 10
IA 6
NH 4

I'm one off somewhere but I'm too lazy to figure out where

Doesn't look good for you, my friend:

https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2019/07/gop-needs-millennial-voters/594034/

Young Americans’ rejection of the Republican Party is not merely a short-term issue, perhaps even satisfying to conservatives who declined to vote or work for candidate and then President Donald Trump, because it will have longer-term effects: 59 percent of Millennial voters are now registered as Democrats. Party affiliation creates vestigial preference.

Nor should we be complacent that young Americans will age into conservatism. There’s actually no evidence of the phenomenon. As Kim Parker of the Pew Research Center concludes, “the differences we see across age groups have more to do with the unique historical circumstances in which they come of age.”

Americans under the age of 30 had as their formative experiences the era of terrorism, the mistakes of wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the 2008 financial crisis, all of which they associate with the Republican Party. And they revile the depredations of Trump’s behavior and procedural contortions by Senate Republicans to partisan purposes (like the refusal to vote on the Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland).

What we as a conservative movement look like to young Americans is old, white, male, bigoted, and unprincipled—people who bray loudly at others breaking the rules but excuse ourselves doing so.

Sorry, I know this is slightly off topic - but, wow, look at that diverse crowd. He is really drawing folks of all stripes to his rallies, eh?

The only way it’s in play is if there’s vote tampering involved.

Most of the country hates this guy. His cult base is his cult base but it’s not growing, they're dying off. If he “wins” WI, PA and MI plus Virginia? It’ll be more proof he never won in the first place.

It’s astounding that you actually believe Trump voters are “dying off”. I get that it’s wishful thinking on your part, but I’m sorry to report that we’re nowhere near dying off.

In which state has Trump gained supporters since 2016?

Alabama? lol

Ask Roy Moore. LOL

Why don’t you think it’s blue now? You don’t like math and facts?

I'm a D so no need to get all testy. I hope it is blue but the reality is that there is a lot of red in VA. You would be arrogant to think you have it sewn up. It isn't as purple as NC but it is not bright blue.

1 mile so or west of Tyson’s corner and plenty of Trump supporters. Don’t have anything for granted.

Yep. I realize VA is purple/blue, but there are definitely lots of Trump supporters here. We live in FxCo.

Also live in FFX county and I wouldn't say there are "lots" of Trump supporters, but it's the closeted ones that worry me.

The lack of self-awareness is astounding. What you say about Trump supporters, people used to say about gays.

Gay people were never trying to ruin the country like Trumplings are.

Wow, double the lack of self-awareness. People thought that gay people were trying to ruin the country, therefore shunning/attacking them, causing them to be closeted. We now know better. Could it be that you are wrong that Trump supporters are trying to ruin the country?

And yet, Trump's admin are no friends of LGBTQ community.

Also, Trumpsters think they are MAGA, but instead, they are just making us more racist again.

It’s astounding to me that you don’t know who votes for Dasvidanya Don. You guys are old. Trust a trumpeter to think I’m speaking to and about only you, though.

Anonymous wrote:This election cycle, there is no greasy Clinton machine operative like McAwful releasing criminals to vote, and the Democratic VP nominee is probably not going to be from Virginia. People often vote for a presidential or vice-presidential candidate if that candidate is from the same state.

I am hoping the purple results of the last election cycle in Virginia was nothing more than a mild case of voter indigestion or a momentary lapse of reason.

Lol. No. Again, ask Comstock if Trump will win.

Not advertising our political affiliation doesn’t make us “closeted,” it makes us private. Trump voters - and Republicans in general - don’t feel the need to pontificate and lecture others, the way liberals so clearly do.

This is a joke, right? Look at the Evangelical Trump supporters as Exhibit A.

I’m talking about in every day life, not at rallies, dope.

Oh, I didn't realize that Evangelicals only pontificated and lectured people at rallies.
