How is this "grooming?" I think you're the one who doesn't understand grooming.

If what you're saying is maybe the boy is attracted to the girl, and would like to date her or have a physical relationship with her, that's not "grooming."

Hopefully you're teaching your kids the difference between crushes/dating/getting to know someone and grooming. Yikes.

We had a very similar situation two summers ago and let the guy friend come at the same time a mutual girl friend was here with DD. He stayed in the basement. Nothing happened but they all had a great time hanging out.

Guy here. Giving your DD the benefit of the doubt, that friend of hers is 99.99% gay. Back when I was a HS schooler, no way would I have developed a tight friendship with a girl only through a summer. The only reason I would want to be tight with a girl that I would interact with over a summer is to sleep with her (not in the platonic way). Guys at that age, gay or straight, think with their bottom brains and not top. But you know...if he's not gay, chances are that they already hooked up over the summer.

My thoughts too. A lot of platonic guys in later HS that were really into just hanging out with girls and discussing fashion, gossip and celebs were gay.

I would, but i would be sure to let the parents of the girlfriend staying over what is happening. I wouldn't mind if i was her parent and trusted you/knew about it before hand but would be furious to not be told beforehand.
