If so great, why do you push these products on your female friends, and then later also ask them to sell it? Have you listened to "The Dream" podcasts? It's absolutely eye opening. Please listen to it just so you at least see the other side of the coin.

I have a few friends who have purchased MLM products, including myself. We all end up talking behind the seller's back- about how we felt pressured to buy, felt sorry for them, felt obligated to buy, didn't want to rock the boat, and so forth. These products prey on women and exploit friendships. Moreover, why are there no MLM products geared toward men? Or stay at home dads? Why haven't you asked my husband to sell for you or buy your products?

You are the predator and I am the prey. That makes me respect you less and makes me want to avoid "friends" like you. Seriously, no offense because I believe that you are a victim, too. I am just being completely honest. Anything that requires you to pay to sell is a scam. Anything that gives you money when you recruit more people to sell is a scam. Anything that requires you to sacrifice friendships and have people question your incentives is a scam. Again, very sorry, but this is the truth.

So, I have all kinds of scorn for MLM’s, but I have crazy sensitive skin and I had given up on pretty much anything except coconut oil on my face, which did nothing for the redness and just made me look sweaty (but was an okay moisturizer). But I was literally greasy and looked awful. So I gave in and tried R+F Soothe and wow, my skin legit looks and feels much better. Jamberry shut down awhile ago. Wildtree (spices & cooking stuff) is going out of business now.

Seeing much less LuLaRoe lately, thankfully. MLMs are awful.

Everyone I know who did LulaRoe had to liquidate at quite a loss.

I'm a thrift store hobbyist, for lack of a better term and LulaRoe is in all the local stores I visit. So is Cabi. LulaRoe is aggressively ugly and cheap looking. How was this ever a trend? The shirts I see look like pajama tops for plus sized women.

I have a friend who owns two different stores, literal, tangible stores and she does not post on FB all the time about her stores. She does not try to trade on her friendships to make a living. Everything that R&F sells can be purchased for less at Sephora! All the weight loss things are a scam. It is not cool and not ok to expect your friends to subsidize your life. If you have a legit business then run it as such!!

R+F seems to be dying down, although some of my hard core selling friends are planning more house parties than ever before trying to peddle this stuff.

As a side note, I have been invited to 5 or more Usborne parties in the last 6 months. The books are complete crap, IMHO. My kids don't like them, but even if they did, we'd still go to the library.

I’m way out of touch with all forms of MLM, but where do you think Plexus is in its life cycle? That seems to be the one I see the most on FB, and several people I know have done it a long time and seem to be doing well.

We have a friend who is pitching one of the healthy eating things (posting recipes and photos of people losing weight and inspirational messages) yet she is allergic to every type of food.
