I don't know what the GSA telework policy is but I doubt it is better than the USPTO. Telework from anywhere in the lower 48. Rarely have to come back to the office. 40 hours per week. Great bonus structure.

its the same. plus all sorts of computer tools we can use (google, slack, github, etc....)

Yes, that's the point. NIH can be prestigious for doctors, the Fed (not an agency) and Treasury can be prestigious for economists. Some lawyers parlay SEC time into a career defending white collar criminals. It's all about what your specialization is.

So prestigious they left their own people killed. One of my colleagues (from a less prestigious agency) got a call afterward for assistance to rebuild, he gave them the F-You when he was briefed of security detail.

Not sure about prestigious, but we moved to the burbs in another state and H worked from in his pajamas making well into 6 figures at the Federal Reserve Bank and only had to travel twice a year. Very cushy after being a banker.

No way. If your field is health policy and you want to be a lobbyist one day, HHS is best. Most people who could leave State and DOJ by now have left so as to avoid the whackadoodle Trumpsters. Treasury maybe, but if you're smart and talented in economics and finance, you'd want to avoid the GS salary scale altogether and go to the Fed.
