I finally figured out she wanted her shoes shined. I asked her, "do you want your shoes shined?" And she lit up, "yes, yes!". They were really dirty. I was afraid to touch her and get in trouble. I didn't do or say anything. I was just a little kid, but I still feel bad that I didnt' shine the old lady's shoes.

I knew someone who was murdered and I would try to stop the murder from happening.

I would have gone back to eden and made sure Adam and Eve weren’t banished from the garden. That we only ate from the tree of life. If there were no bite of the forbidden fruit, technically we would be living harmoniously in heaven on earth, because, no sin.

I would do one small thing my grandma asked me to do before she died. It seemed tiny, but I wish I’d offered her that with a glad heart.

However I don’t think anyone needs to constantly point out how great they are. You aren’t great. Either am I. We are human and have faults. Christ does not have faults, and pretending that we could have stopped John Lennon from being killed makes us like Christ is dum. Yes I left the b off because dum is even dumber than dumb.

Years ago I tutored a little girl in reading. She was awkward and poor and teased, but we made good progress. I did it for free. One day her mom canceled our session. Then she canceled the next session. I thought she didn’t want me to tutor any more. I tried calling once and left a message.

The next time the mom called I let it go to voicemail, thinking she was canceling again. I didn’t check the message for too long (I’m terrible at voicemail in general), but when I finally did listen days later, the mom was trying to schedule a session. I never called back.

To this day I feel guilty, and this was 15 years ago. That’s what I would change. I would have called back and kept tutoring this girl. I hope she’s ok now, and hope she figured out the whole reading thing.

Oops...religion not region. See, I’m human I’m fallible I make mistakes but presumably God does not make mistakes so explain the rationale for wanting to go back and change events that a supposedly all-knowing deity allowed to transpire.

Because JFK's death led to the Civil rights act. I don't know if there would have been the political will to get that passed without his assassination.
