Vanderbilt's campus is an arboretum. It is gorgeous and feels like an oasis in the city.

Yes beautiful setting, but buildings are just a lot of concrete. Also, ridiculously inconvenient to try to walk from place to place on campus.

Dickinson is a lovely combination of old and new buildings. The surrounding town isn't much though.

+1 agree with all of these, but frankly it might be more difficult to name college campuses that are unattractive. There are so many that are beautiful in different ways.

Maybe some people think of different things when they think of beautiful. I think of beautiful college campuses as ones with traditional stone or brick buildings and quads. Maybe some ivy growing. Also, I think of them in the fall when the leaves have changed so Pepperdine doesn't pop into my head even though it is beautiful.
