I am SO much more bothered by the idea that our country is caging children. And I dearly hope there are more voters like me than there are children of immigrants (all of you) rushing to slam shut the door to freedom and opportunity.

Ummm, did you not watch the debates??? Castro, and a majority want to decriminalize crossing the border illegally. That does not sound like border control?
This is why a lil bit of education or atleast the ability to find out what the word means goes a long way in understanding it. Decriminalize isn’t the same as open borders. In law there are two types , criminal law and civil law. Decriminalize simply means that the families who cross the border will be punished by civil law, not by criminal law. It means we don’t treat desperate people as rapists and murderers. It means we will be kind and humane but you would still be punished in a civil manner and involves jail time. But if you have criminal record or have committed other crimes while here illegally then and only then will you be considered a criminal.
Civil penalties are usually nominal with some fines attached.
So basically you are saying that sure, cross the border. It’s a civil penalty. Pleas pay a 100$ fine, but you get fee healthcare and all the social services that you need to stay in this country.
If I’m illegal, I’m coming over right now for that deal!
Understand what a civil penalty is first.
Civil penalties are for the ones who are qualified to get asylum. Not for everyone. Also we need mandatory e-verify, which the dems support, so the greedy employers like Trump and corporations don’t hire them instead of Americans. Why is Trump against mandatory e-verify? Why is the GOP against mandatory e-verify? They are basically shifting the blame for illegal immigration on the desperate people and not on the rich people who give them employment as inducement for them to come. You’ve fallen for the craven lie the conman and the gop has propagated. It is the GOP which is inducing illegal immigration by not having mandatory e-verify. Get some education and understand the issue deeper.
You, are a moron. The lack of e-verify inducing illegal immigration? How about the promise of free healthcare you saw at the debates!

Why are you opposing mandatory e-verify ? Any reason? The fraud doubled the h2b and to this day doesn’t have e-verify in all his properties. Why not ? Because the GOP businessmen love the illegal labor as it reduces their cost and more money in the heir pocket. That’s all they care about.
The dems are for mandatory e-verify and it was in the bill passed by dem senate during Obama years. But the GOP house oppose it. The GOP is a fraud party run by a conman who benefit from illegal immigrants BuT just fool the cult by harassing desperate refugees. Why not target the business that recruit illegals?

Yes- Dems are making immigration decisions in an echo chamber.

We want more LEGAL immigrants. But nice try, PP.
Bans from Muslim countries and how many kids in concentration camps, kids whose parents were LEGALLY seeking refugee status suggests this is not actually the case.
DP. Just the gross misuse of the phrase "concentration camps" is enough for me to discount anything else you might have said.
