Are you kidding? I don’t spend $10 per kid on plastic junk anyway! Let’s say you have 10 kids at the party, which is a small party anyways...a $10 movie pass for each kid would be $100! No freakin’ way!
My child is lucky if we shell out for an actual movie—let alone 10 of her friends. You will get a coloring book. Thank you, next

My kids have never asked where a goody bag was if a party didn't have one. They enjoyed the party, played with their friends, ate the food and cake, and came home. I'd say goody bags are more common than not (I don't particularly like them - I give one party-themed item that isn't crap, personally), but they've never questioned not getting one. Ever.
Mine either. My favorite favors are the ones that aren't little bags of plastic crap. Random things we've gotten that I liked: candy from the pinata that was part of the party, a party where the activity was decorating a little birdhouse, and then the kids got a little bag of birdseed, books, a mini tub of play-doh and a cookie cutter, sidewalk chalk, or bubbles. Think small and consumable, or a craft made at the party.

Who is the party for OP - the kids or the parents?
Just go to the dollar store, party city or 5 below and pick up random crap that no parent wants, but which will make the kids happy. $2 to $3 per kid. Done.
My DD still walks around with the $2 (my guess) crown she got at a birthday party recently. She loves it.

+1 I mean, I usually just hand out $100 bills.. the kids complain, no candy, but the Moms and Dads are SUPER Happy.

The other thread last week had great party favor ideas. I prefer books, puzzles (nice ones), a cookie, playdough tub, super hero cape, etc.
No more junky sunglasses, tiny bubbles (they don't even make nice bubbles), crummy stickers, junky stuffed animals, plastic necklaces.
