Sounds like she was going through a tough time and could use the benefit of the doubt. I’m sure if she were drunk someone else will take care of it.
OP here. How am I supposed to know? I do not have training in reading ultrasounds. She also was surprised I didn't know the gender. I am only 18 weeks and this was my first ultrasound. She said I am surprised because most woman know by now. It doesn't make sense. Also she kept asking me questions to try to figure out why my first baby was premature. She would give me confused looks when I responded. Some babies are premature. I told her when he was born and that my water broke. I don't know what other information I could have given her. There were way too many weird things that happened.
Most women do know the sex because of free cell DNA tests.
Op here. My insurance doesn't cover this test so I was under the impression it isn't the norm. The obgyn office is in a very wealthy area though. None of my friends knew the gender until at least 18 weeks.
Are you sure you had another pregnancy? You sound more like a 1st time mom than most 1st time moms.
"None of my friends knew"seriously? Most people find out pretty early now. You're an odd duck OP
Anonymous wrote:What is with all of you siding with the tech?? It doesn’t matter if the tech was drunk or not - OP if you felt something was weird change techs. No need to say anything about the alcohol just say you would prefer a different tech. This is your baby and if you don’t feel something is right go with your gut. You must advocate for yourself.

OP here. My husband wasn't there. I thought his reaction was a little dramatic. I really don't want to say anything but I wanted to get advice on here. I am supposed to come for cervix checks every 2 weeks with the same tech. Maybe she's just very nutty and I smelled something else. I just remember getting closer to her and smelling although. Later on I thought about what we talked about and her reactions seemed a bit strange.
