In Medieval Times, didn’t they believe that it had to pleasurable for the woman (“the little death”) in order for conception? Yes, I agree. However, the cervical contractions don't necessarily begin at the same time as orgasm.

Any correlation is because people who are orgasming during sex are likely having sex more frequently than someone who isn’t enjoying the process as much.

+1 or you’re orgasming bc it’s the fertile time of the month and you’re more turned on. Or because you were turned on and this made more natural lube which helped the sperm stay alive.

No way. If that were the case, humans would have been extinct long ago or much much more attention would be on the female orgasm.

I was actually wondering about the opposite. I just had a really strong orgasm on day 6 DPO (we did the deed 4 days before, day of, day after and day after that).
After this orgasm I started having a lot of cramps and now I’m thinking I ruined the chances of implantation.

As others have said not necessary (and I know for a fact I didn’t with our first). BUT I saw a documentary years ago showing how the cervix dips into the “reserve” during orgasm so I imagine it helps.
