This is from 2019, I'm hoping OP has figured it out by now...

Mine is kelly green, with white and light blue accents.

We have two boys and let them pick the colors when we redid their bathrooms at ages 5 and 7. One chose blue walls and the other chose a golden yellow. Its been 7 years and I now that they are in the early teenage years I think the blue looks more juvenile than the yellow. It depends on how long you think you'll have the color before changing. If it's only a couple of years let them choose.

Get a paint deck or go to a paint store.
Look at the grays and then move toward the undertone you like (blue, green, purple or pure gray)
It's the best way to avoid those paints that are way too bright.
It's rare you will find a really great blue or green that does not have some gray in it.

Pure white is very popular now but it can look sterile if you don't have a plan (area rugs, window treatments, layered bedding)

We are doing Dunmore cream, I like Newburyport blue, we have it in our family room. I may do one wall in that or hale navy, preferable his desk wall.

OP here and they’d probably go with purple or neon green or pink.

I'd go with blue or cream and put up some purple, neon green, and/or pink wall decals. They're pretty cheap and they can enjoy them for a few years and swap them out for something else when they're older.

Benjamin Moore Featherbed is a nice pale yellow if the rooms have good light. I have that in one kid room and revere pewter in the other. Both have been neutral enough colors to work with any bedding and other decor.

I picked the below for my kids for just that reason.

So just leave the pink for now and save yourself some effort! They may care more in a few years.

Why not paint stripes using all three of those colors? They all go well together.
