I just think it's the height of ridiculous to call something "MOMS Club" and have it only open to a certain type of mom. Very cliquey and rude.

It was literally founded as a support group for stay at home moms and has expanded to include lots of part time working moms too. But it’s a daytime support group for moms who are at home with mostly little kids during the day, that allows moms to bring kids to events. It’s not rude to have a support group for stay at home moms that meets during the day when stay at home moms are free. Good grief. I wouldn’t complain about being excluded from a working moms support group that meets on evenings and weekends.

So call it "Stay at home moms club" then. And "support group" for stay at home moms? Lol.

I've been in good ones and bad ones. One was very supportive with lots of activities and moms from all walks of life. That was in a less affluent area. I wouldn't have survived without them!

We then moved to a more affluent area, and the Moms Club from the area was very cliquey and full of mean girls. There were some nice women, but they were shoved aside by the mean girls. I was about to bail when we got a new president and a group of new members who changed the entire feel of the group. My kids are too old for Moms Club now, but I'm still friends with some of the moms I met when I first joined this cliquey MC--we had something to bond over and now our kids are in elementary together. I think the Club in my area is defunct or about to be, as there just wasn't enough interest to sustain it long-term. The area is too expensive and there are fewer SAHMs.
