I agree with this, but there was a water emergency at my apartment and the maintenance manager gave them permission. And I didn't know he could, and I said a lot of things they didn't like when they forced entry.

I’m this PP. I just answered an unexpected knock. It was a mom dropping off stuff for a school event I’m running (I was not expecting her) and we just had a lovely chat!
No wonder society is so disconnected and anxious and depressed. You really wouldn’t have opened for this woman? How do you expect to build a community? “I’ll be your friend/neighbor but only if you ALWAYS text warn me first.” SAD.
