The center we use publishes their rates online. Still don’t understand why so many others don’t.

$1,750 for infant in daycare center in Rockville.
LO will be six months old when he starts.
Chose it because it is significantly less expensive than the other places that offered us a slot, does not have any glaring licensing violations, low ratio and low turnover.

My child starts Kindergarten this Fall, but here is what I paid:
Between the ages of 1 and 3 1/2 we chose an in-home provider (Gaithersburg) and paid $1000/month. She was an older lady who provided childcare services for years. She only had 5 kids and she was absolutely wonderful.
When our child was 3 1/2 we switched to a daycare center (on Government property). My husband is an employee so we did get a bit of a discount on tuition which was $1150/month for us.
Seeing the DC prices of $1800+ is amazing!

I get childcare vouchers. They were not difficult to get and they help dramatically. Our childcare cost is 1600 for two kids. (Cheap I know, but it’s in pg county and it’s actually great). Out of pocket, we pay 600 for both kids. Vouchers cover 1k. That amount can go up and down depending on the money the state is issued but it’s usually by 100 bucks. Our vouchers are issued from Montgomery county because that is where we live although the daycare is in pg county. All you have to do is fill out paper work. There are no in office or home visits.
What are the income limits? Does it depend on how many kids you have?

We’ve been there for almost 10 years and I chose it because of the loving atmosphere and the extremely low staff turnover. Both kids will have had the same teachers, 7 years apart.

Chose for warmth, consistent two caregivers, ratio, price (we live in Arlington and this is the lowest I’ve found), not in a basement and instead has lots of light and space, big outdoor areas and lots of outdoor time, happy parents who all are sending their second child there. Also it felt really calm, the caregivers calm nature and confidence really transfers to the kids. It wasn’t busy busy like some places I went which is fine in older years,, but I liked the calm for these early years.
$55. per day? I'm thinking the workers are volunteers.

$550/week for infant care in an employer daycare (employees only may use). It operates without any profit but as you can see that’s not doing us much good... financially anyway. I assume the workers are well-paid. They’re great.
