We live in NY which I think is comparable to MD for taxes.
Same for us in Virginia.

I’m pretty left, but this comment is why people hate liberals. What does “fair” even mean? Say what you intend... don’t hide behind platitudes.

You realize that the amount you are required to pay is just the minimum, right? If you truly believe it is bad for the country and wish to pay more, the IRS certainly will not send back the money.
Anonymous wrote:Congrats on not paying your fair share of taxes and eroding our countries economic health by skyrocketing the deficient for your 3 kids. I hope they have trust funds and connects or they and their grands kids are going to be less well off than you are. But who cares about them and everyone else...go buy your gaudy Tiffany silver or vacation in Aruba in March or whatever useless thing you do with your existence.

Hey, you should go place a bet on that feline guy to win the Masters!

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I have a question. How the heck do people that make as much money as the OP and other posters do have time to post on this board? If you make that much money how do you have time to do anything other than work?
Is that a joke? I am an attorney (partner) at a small firm. I don't work that hard and clear 250K a year (and many of my partners make double that because they work harder than I do). My husband is an academic and works a ton, but has plenty of time to dick around on twitter and other websites. He makes 350-400 with consulting. A person who makes minimum wage working in a factory probably works way harder than I do but I have a skill set that they don't have, so I can work less and make more and still find plenty of time to post on DCUM.
