I agree, he had a such a small role in the show really, although I mostly love Jane, I always found myself thinking “no wonder he’s such a brat, his parents never seem to pay attention to him.” He’s always off with Xo or Abuela

He’s with them because if he was with Jane then the show would be about the kids. And it’s not. She had the kid and Petra has kids, but they are far from the focus.

The finale didn’t blow me away overall, but I love that the writers found a way for her to be with both. She married Michael, her young first love, they got their wedding and happily ever after. Then later he just wasn’t Michael any more. They throughly tried, and it was gone, but at one time they had it. After it was gone, she got to have her happily ever after with Raph. Ultimately she never had to pick one over the other, she got both.

I thought the finale was beautiful, but boring. I personally like when finales fast forward several years and let you know what happens to them. The kids, Alba, Xo...does Jane adopt?

I think parenthood has one of the best finales of all time. I tear up just thinking of it. The music and fast forward montage. Gah. Gorgeous.

The Jane finale was good but did not blow me away.

Does xo really move away?

The finale was lovely. I think resurrecting Michael was a mistake, but I think Bret Dier (even though he's not really an Oscar-worthy actor) did a convincing job of showing that he really had just completely changed. I just ... I don't know. Still #teammichael over here!

My heart hurts every time they remind us Jane and Rafael aren't together. It's a telenovela, so they have to reconcile !

The show surely has a big enough budget to have had actually filmed in Montana. The green screen and obvious California foothills are bothering me.

I am interested in the theory above that Michael has been a bad guy all Along

When Jane read the notes that Jason/ Michael wrote in the book, it really hit hard about her conflict.
I wanted her to say goodbye to J/M, too - but this seems to suggest he’s not going to go away with an easy story line (like that he has been set up / isn’t really Michael, etc.).

I just can’t be sure what I want to happen!

Poor Rafael then.

But yeah that book scene was hard.

When is the new season available on Netflix?

Probably not for a long time, because it just started airing on the CW. But it is free on their website or app

There is a CW app. I usually wait for Netflix, but could not this season. The one downside is commercials.

+1 If you add the CW channel on Roku, they show the 5 latest episodes for free usually.

Ha! Love it.
