There is room to trade elementary schools.
Distance? What distance? Option 4 is bussing students from the Potomac River to East of the 270. It is like taking the westmost areas od Whitman, and bussing them to Einstein. The proposed district is not continuous; it is an island. So it is like taking say Carderock Elementary and bussing it to Einstein for demographic equity.
It would be kind of like rezoning Carderock ES for Einstein HS if Carderock ES were already zoned for Walter Johnson HS.
Also, Seneca Valley HS is WEST of 270.

THAT is the world Option 4 opens.
And that would be bad because...?
Exhibit 1 - option 4 is supported by people who consider moving Kensington Parkwood to Einstein, and 1/2 Einstein to WJ, a completely sane option.
KP/WJ parents, are you paying attention? If so, protest option 4.
Why wouldn't it be?
http://gis.mcpsmd.org/ServiceAreaMaps/KensingtonParkwoodES.pdf
It's about 2.3 miles from Kensington Parkwood ES to Einstein, and 2.4 miles from Kensington Parkwood ES to Walter Johnson HS.
Aside from the Kensington Parkwood ES island on Old Georgetown Rd and Tuckerman (which will be in walking distance of Woodward), most of the Kensington Parkwood ES service area is closer to Einstein than to Walter Johnson. I thought that people want their closest school.

By the time you are willing to bus people 45 min without traffic. just expand the scope of the study like they did with NW this year, and then transport part of NBMS ro the newly finished Kennedy expansion.
This can get extreme in no time.
Oppose Option 4 in NW/SV/CHS rezoning. Fill out the survey. Wrute letters. Make your voice heard. You are a stakeholder. This can and will affect you in 2-3 years.
