Try wearing more conservative clothing and makeup and see what happens.

I can tell you I am absolutely certain that there are a lot of women much happier not having those individuals in their lives, so I guess it all works out.
Yes, and it is amazing that almost no one actually answered the question, which was where to meet men 45-55. I guess no one knows the answer, or it was just more important to make her feel bad when she formerly fe!t good.

Unfortunately the internet is increasingly a toilet, where everyone gets to dump...

I’m 48 but the men who ask me out are usually mid thirties. I would like to be asked out by the 45-55 set but they aren’t the ones who ask me out. I’m in a profession where there are a lot of younger people so that’s who I tend to meet.
If older men aren't asking you out... it could be that you don't look as young as you think you do.
Your comment makes no sense. She must be reasonably attractive or she wouldn’t be getting asked out at all, especially if she doesn’t do online dating.
She could be attractive for 48, but the fact remains, men age 45 to 55 do not want 48. They probably just divorced 48, and now they want younger.

So it's not likely that all these men in their 50s are dating 20 year olds unless they are rich. But it does give a clue that the average late 40s woman is dating a mid 50s man. On average.

Anonymous wrote:I am in the same boat as you. I attract men at least five to ten years younger than me... I was called out on OKCupid for having a narrow age range 40-45 on my profile. I know I look younger than my age from a whole range of people.

Or men should stick with younger women as there is a sharp decline in, um, attractiveness in the age range noted.
It might be that the decline in performance is related to older women's decline in attractiveness.
I think you’re right. Why should women maintain themselves if all they get at the end of the day is substandard? Is that why women decide to cut their hair short and go full frump?

It doesn't matter what they "want" -- the vast majority 30-something women don't want to date 45-55 yr old men. I've always been much more open-minded about age than my friends, and even I drew the line at 10 years older.
It does matter what they want, because it means they are much less likely to date the OP.
And nobody, least of all a man age 45 to 55, cares what kind of woman you think a man of that age should date.

Some 20% of men who are newly remarried have a wife who is at least 10 years their junior, and another 18% married a woman who is 6-9 years younger. By comparison, just 5% of newlywed men in their first marriage have a spouse who is 10 years younger, and 10% married a woman who is 6-9 years younger.
