Yet when directed by 3 different medical establishments to go to the ER she still waits 6 days before she decides to go to the ER? Then she complains about not having a doctor at her beck and call because she has a life threatening disease?
She sounds like a narcissistic alarmist. Even if it is malaria, which I'll bet you dollars to doughnuts that it's not, it's not always fatal. According to the CDC, it is sometimes fatal.
Don't wait 6 days before going to the ER, ignoring sound health advice from 3 different medical professionals, and cry life threatening disease when you arrive at the ER. Not a good look.

NP. I think the nasty PP is a nurse who was offended by OP saying that she wanted to be seen by a real doctor. Some nurses think they're doctors who just get paid less.
NP- I'm a nurse and nothing about what has been said offended me until your post. Of course I don't think I'm a "doctor who just gets paid less", don't be ridiculous. We have very different skill sets and educational backgrounds, and very different strengths/weaknesses/ tasks to do in a clinical setting. That being said- OP, the fact that they admitted you overnight means they are being cautious and going to make sure you're all right. Don't listen to the nasty poster who continues to say you're wasting the hospital's time even after reading that they admitted you (a sure sign that your trip to the ER wasn't frivolous). I hope everything works out well for you in the next day or two.

It's at 102 now. Right now they say my liver is concerning ( shows high levels) and I have a UTI. Tomorrow morning an infectious disease doctor will be seeing me. They hope to have the malaria and other infectious disease results by tomorrow.

And OP, be sure to grab some ice cream while you're there. You can remember that sweet treat fondly when you come back to the DCUM money and finance board complaining about having to pay for an expensive ER visit and not being able to afford your avocado toast.
Some employee insurance does start on the first day pp. Mine does and I also don't have a monthly premium.
