And my goodness - Al Pacino and Robert Di Niro were so hot. James Caan wasn't bad either.
To the pp who mentioned John Cazale - he was amazing and he was Meryl Streep's boyfriend when he died. He was also incredible in The Deer Hunter, which my 50-something friends here will also remember well. Another incredible movie with a great cast.
Part III gets no respect - but I did love Andy Garcia as Lucy Mancini's son with Sonny. A few years ago when I was in Sicily, I had to make a pilgrimage to the steps of the Opera House in Palermo.
So I am 32 and I think Jimmy Caan is sooo hot in this movie.

A) if godfather I and II are on every list of best movies of all time, you should see them. Even if you aren’t Italian or from the NY area (of which I am both and of course I’ve seen both a million times).
B) re: Cazale - if you haven’t seen Dog Day Afternoon or Deer Hunter, you are not a film fan. Ditto Taxi Driver and Raging Bull, for that matter. Spend a weekend watching good, quality filmmaking. Those were some truly magical years.
