Why are you still at SSMA?
One thing is, instructional support is low at Montessoris because of what they're looking for. They are measuring for a certain style of teaching. At least that's what I've heard.
It is true. But the weight given to instructional support is very small percentage of the whole score once there are testing grades (only 5 points total). Suffice to say, that factor isn't what is hurting SSMA's scores. (SSMA - 2.5; LAMB - 2.7; Lee 3.2)
But to the PPP, do they not tell you what they are doing with money raised from this campaign?

I know. Two stars is 20%-40$, so they're getting awfully close to just one star. No doubt the PCSB will just pass them along with no real changes, like it does for most mediocre schools. Their math scores are atrocious and their math growth percentile is also really bad. I get that people like Montessori but is this really worth it? Looks like they lost over 6% of their kids over the course of the year last year.
I’m waiting for the SSMA boosters to come out and try to explain why this school is not a sinking ship.![]()
I think they all left.
Yep. We all left.
Yep, one of the things I was most thankful for this weekend!
Where did everyone go?
CHML, Lee, Breakthrough, Garrison, Mundo Verde eighth, Mundo Verde P, Capital City, Two Rivers, basically anywhere else!
Yeah, I figured MV8 would take a big bite.
