Do you really think that it is common to be an escort in the movie / music industry?

Yes. It’s similar to why so many willing go to the casting couch. Fame and fortune is all that matters, doesn’t matter what part of your body you offer up.

Any actual proof of this, or is this just more stating opinion as fact?

Did you miss all the stories that came out during the Weinstein blow up?

As someone who has worked in the industry for 20+ years - yes, this does in fact happen. Rarely with A list, but for those actresses/singers/musicians who don't really make it, how do you think they pay their bills? Maybe it's not "escort" in the traditional sense, but they hook up with rich/older men to support them.

Actually, when I really think about it, there are several A-list types who made it because of who they slept with. Do you think Mariah Carey just fell in love with Tommy Mottola? Google the photo of Renee Zellweger with her hand on Harvey Weinstein's leg during a movie premiere Q&A. You don't think she got all those juicy roles because she's a good actress and is attractive?

They are just a half-step above escorts.

I don't know why, but I just feel so badly for this girl that she has basically tanked her life and career to the point where she is THIS desperate. Like girl...whoever is advising you to do a show like this and filling your head with thoughts that THIS could be a way to revive your lost would-be showbiz career is steering you SO wrong. UGH!

I mourn for the talent she used to have...and long for what could have been.

She was PERFECTION in Mean Girls. And literally every other girl who starred alongside her in that movie has gone on to amazing things.

What do you think? Will she EVER come back???

I wouldn't say Lacey Chabert has gone on to "do amazing things" unless you mean Part of 5 when she was like 10. And Rachel McAdams was already the bomb before mean girls. And I haven't seen Janice Ian around either.

Stop.

That’s what I was wondering...I know she did that for the Athens club but then had issues with her business partners. Her net worth is only 800k, doesn’t make sense that she could have mortgaged beach front property and pay all the start up costs for the club. Even with investors.

We can't leave out Amanda Seyfried. She has had a pretty good career.

She's in Sick Note (Netflix, stars Rupert Grint) and pretty good.

I remember that! The mother punched her. And all of America thought "Good for that mother!"

Me too! She is definitely on some serious drugs....or she’s mentally ill. I think both.

She was a nightmare to work with. Your talent doesn't matter if the movie can't get made because you've locked yourself into your trailer and won't come out. Hollywood has some leeway for that, but eventually they turn on you. There are lots of fresh pretty faces in the world who will show up on time.

I remember watching some reality show she did a few years ago and how she screwed over this Asian fashion magazine crew who had flown to NYC to do a photo shoot of her and have her in a spread and on the cover. They needed to shoot in natural light and had two days to do it and she screwed up both days from partying too much the nights before and refusing to show up. Her excuses and behavior reminded me of my drug addiction cousin. The magazine was put tens of thousands of dollars and she never did the shoot. It was just insane.

She had shorty parents but ultimately at this point it’s her own fault where she is now.

Recently I saw Lindsay in "Sick Note" a show on Prime. Her plastic surgery is terrible. It's all i could see. Cheek implants or something.

It's too bad. After Mean Girls Tina Fey tried to help her. LL was on SNL and anorexic thin.

You know I blame that guy from That 70s show. Willderama or whatever. He was mixed up with other young stars and got them on drugs.

I think that, too.

When Emma presented an award for the first time and made a whole bit about it, I texted my sister, "My, doesn't Emma Stone look lovely in what used to be Lindsay Lohan's career?"
