I just posted about the $5.00/month iphone 6.

The cheapest flip phone was $10.00/month.

Sometimes it does not make sense to get the flip phone.


Its also how you use it. You don't have to put apps or internet on it.

DD rec'd my DH's old iPhone 6 at the end of 4th grade. At first it was just phone and messaging on wifi, as well as some game apps. Now she has text, some social media (6th grade).

No smartphone til 8th grade for our kids. But it does feel they are in the minority.

iPhone SE. had it since 3rd grade. (For my convenience. Walking home from school etc. no home phone)

7th grade, iPhone 7. We changed our family plan over to sprint and even adding a phone for him was cheaper than what we had before. Older teens had phones already. And I was tired of him borrowing my phone for Pokemon Go.

No, not until 8th grade graduation. It has worked for our older kids so we’ll stick to it.
