OP, you sound incredibly controlling. I would be so upset if my spouse was micromanaging my dietary and eating habits. If this is the biggest problem you have, be grateful.

Seriously, OP. Your marriage has literally 0 percent chance of surviving long term. Please don’t add any additional children. And I’m not being unkind. Marriages like yours do not survive. You are totally in the wrong. Have them delivered if carrying them bothers you so much, or have him purchase and bring them home. But you are definitely in the wrong on this.

Why don't you get a Sodastream for your house, and then have him be responsible for dealing with the cartridges?

That being said.. the bubbles *are* different, if he has a preference. We have a soda stream, and TBH, the water just doesn’t taste as good as Perrier, even though we use filtered water.


I drink (filtered) tap water and herbal tea all day. By the time evening comes, or sometimes at lunch, I like something fizzy. Drinking a lot of fluid in a day, the flat stuff often actually makes me feel nauseated, although I’m still thirsty.


I’m still breastfeeding, and will easily drink 1-2 litres at night if DD is having a wakeful night. Trust me, smaller bottles and cans are much more wasteful and expensive. Smaller containers aren’t about to solve the issue.

I really don’t know anyone without their vices. Some people like carbonated water, some people like complaining and playing the victim, or being petty and making their lives miserable about little things. To each their own. A marriage is about learning to live together.

I am totally on Team DH but will agree he is cracking the second bottle to annoy you. I bet if you start ignoring it he will cease with the second gluttonous and unseemly 1L Perrier bottle.
