Anonymous wrote:Susie’s friend/mentor Harry Drake introduced her and Midge to Sophie Lennon, a big time comedian. Midge was supposed to open for Sophie, which would have been a big break. Sophie had Midge over to her huge mansion where Midge realized Sophie’s character was completely made up. Midge proceeded to tell the whole story in her act, and it was written up in the paper. So Harry and Sophie are basically ruining Susie/Midge’s shot at stardom. I guess Harry put a contract out to scare Susie with the tough guys. Something like that!

I kept thinking maybe Miriam was beginning to miss her grandchildren when they had her look wistfully at children passing by... but no, apparently she didn't miss them at all. I find her very self-absorbed, much like Midge.
Can someone explain what the deal is with Susie and the "goons" who are after her? I know it stems from something that happened in season 1, but I don't remember what it was.

As a guy you won't like it.

And I love the doctor. She dumped him without even giving him a chance to accept or reject her leaving for tour.
