Most illegal immigrants with children are not living homeless on the street. They are living in homes where they pay rent. The homeowner is thus paying property taxes, which covers the education costs of the children in that household. It's no different from all the other "legal" people who are not homeowners.

+1. Prosecute the employers. Except the GOP doesn’t want to do that because so many of the farm owners depend on cheap illegal labor (like GOP Rep’s Devin Nunes’ family.)

Then why doesn't the GOP which currently controls Congress authorize funding? Could it be that some Republicans see this project as the boondoggle it is?

Trump’s anger at Congress for not doing what he asks seems a tad misplaced. Perhaps someone could educate him on how a bill becomes a law.

A wall doesn't solve the problem. That seems to be the thing that you and Trump don't understand. There aren't HORDES of ILLEGALS POURING over our borders. Most of the illegals are overstaying visas, like Melania did. And the reason they do, is because private (mostly GOP owned) businesses employ them.

Solve that issue, and you don't need to spend a penny on a stupid wall.

this is a multisolution problem. The wall is one solution, a biometric entry/exit system would solve the visa overstay issue. Other solutions should be on the table too.

It won't solve the caravan problem because all those people are planning to turn themselves in at a legal entry port. Meanwhile, the one attempt at real reform that was worked out between Trump and Democrats was immediately scuttled by Republicans.

LOL you can't possibly believe that. Some have already been arrested for illegal entry. Read the interviews. Most say they are coming to find work. Being poor is not a reason for asylum. Let. Them line up for an asylum interview but quite a few have no intention of going the legal route.
