WTH are you even talking about? What is your specific grievance?
Sounds like Maryland is not the state for you. Even if you move to the eastern shore you are still in a very blue state and state policies and taxes impact many of your grievances more than county policies and taxes.

Most educated conservatives don't flee to even more conservative areas. Why? Because there are no good paying jobs in deep red areas.
Most very conservative people like to stay with their own "kind". They are not into diversity of any kind, so as a minority female, I'm good with them not moving to more diverse, liberal areas. I don't need or want them here.
Also, some people may be fleeing CA, but more are still coming hence the reason for high real estate prices. CA is also the 6th largest economy in the world. WV and other deep red states would love to have the kind of economic power CA has.
Places like AZ and FL have are growing in part because of a lot of old retired people are flocking to it. That doesn't exactly lead to a vibrant area wit good schools.
Some businesses are going to AZ and FL, and guess what happens if that continues? The states will turn blue. AZ is already starting to turn slightly purple. Basically, wherever there is a large educated population, the area turns blue - TX is a perfect example -- Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonia -- all blue.

Conservative types already breaking into hives in most of DMV and fleeing to exurbs like Fredrick and Middleburg to get the intensive vanilla treatments they need.

Ever notice that Conservative states are the poorest, most ill-educated, and most racist?
Because col is high. Combination of lots of people and poverty = crime.
Why do people flee places like WV?
WV has a higher crime rate than New York. Lower than CA. NY is number 13 on the list of best states for public safety for 2018. W V is 19.
