I'm worried about this

The GGW alarmist view to push the big development agenda. The facts on the ground - look at Bethesda, for example — suggest otherwise.

But because it’s MoCo, they will still be all gifted and talented.

No, that’s what PG is for.

again... that had nothing to do with taxes or regulations. 100% due to location and proximity to the airport, hence, Queens NY as the second location, which is btw, conveniently located right next to JFK airport.

We will have to continue our cesspool like existence! Bagels will all be just from already existing bakeries, all the meat will be full of antibiotics and not free range, as Amazon people will eat up all the good stuff. TJ will all be replaced by Aldi, as we can't afford TJ or whole foods or that other shop Roots. All in all, we shall live in despair. As long as they don't close Poki, we might barely survive! BTW, many of us didn't' want Amazon here, I know what a surprise!

I don’t want to subsidize the richest man in the world so he can bring in a second headquarters for a company that stomps our local businesses and brings jobs that probably won’t even be filled by locals & drive up prices incl. housing and rent for the rest of us. No thanks. #Bye.

Oh, and I’m for rank choice voting and I voted for Elrich. Where were the rest of you on rank choice voting before Elrich won?

I’d say that the county does fine by this decision. A study this week predicted that a decent number of Amazon employees will choose to live in MoCo. So we get a boost in tax revenues, property values and other economic activity while VA taxpayers bear the burden of the hefty incentives package for Amazon.

No, it’s becaise the Rockville Pike is even less cool and more geographically undesirable than Crystal City.

It was also an extended process. MoCo fell out of the running many months before the election.

I'm for rank choice voting too, how does one get a ballot initiative started?

I emailed the fairvote organization that is headquartered in Takoma Park and said i would volunteer to help get it on the ballot

Hope they can help lead the initiative

I was with you until you got to rank choices voting and March Elrich, so for that I’ll give you a 1/2 +
