I'm wondering if there's any harm in listing schools that there is "zero chance" of getting into? I mean, maybe something freaky happens, and there's no harm in trying? Here's my current top six ...
1) Maury- my IB
2) SWS
3) Brent - I know, no chance, but so close to my work
4) Peabody - same as above
5) Appletree LC -- I am having trouble deciding on whether to rank Appletree above Miner or switch them. Appletree makes a shorter commute.
6) Miner -- I've read a lot of nice things about Miner in this thread. Free breakfast and lunch is kinda nice too.
Also I've decided to expand my commute limit to 2.1 miles, and so I'm planning to include the following for #7-10, but not sure how to rank them. They are all the same distance for me (home > school > office).
Ludlow Taylor
Payne
Capitol Hill Montessori
Tyler
I appreciate any thoughts!!

That makes sense if Maury is your absolute first choice.

Anonymous wrote:you plan to walk? What will you do if you don’t get anything?Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:OP here. I think I have decided on this:
1) Maury

4) Miner
5) Appletree LP
You have zero percent chance of getting into Peabody OOB.
You have a good chance of not getting into anything with this list. I would add something like AT Oklahoma Ave if you want to have something that you'll be more likely to get into. You can always turn it down if you don't like it enough. It's not much farther than Miner. Also maybe JO Wilson if it's not too far away for you?
So
1-Maury
2-SWS
3-Miner
4-AT LP
5-JO Wilson
6-AT Okl Ave
Thanks. I can't do JO Wilson or OK Ave though. They are way too far out of my walking commute, which I have set at 2 miles as the upper limit (home > school > work, one way).

But not happy enough to stay?
