Anonymous wrote:Had to chime in here. Basically went for it based on this thread. Keeping to a diet very similar to the poster above and have been for a week. I don't believe in any moombely joombely, but I'll be damned if I don't feel just great. Down 3 lbs to since Sunday. It took a little more planning than I usually am accustomed to, but I've also saved money on eating out. The real test will be this weekend when pizza night for the kids rolls around and brunch on Sunday with Friends.
But to reiterate, I sure do feel good. I have had hip pain since I had my last kid and kettlebell classes had helped it about 75% but it was still always there, but it is no problem at all this week. Maybe it was some underlying inflammatory thing. Again, moombely joombely, but whatever. I only need to lose 15lbs and I think if I can maintain this trajectory, it should be relatively quick and sustainable?

Yes, mine gets awful. It’s not even the fruity breath people claim you get, it just outrights stinks no matter how much I brush/use mouthwash/chew gum, and my mouth feels like it has a dead squirrel in it.
Keto also doesn’t work for my physiologically, I feel terrible and can’t stomach all the fat and protein.
You are probably allowing yourself to get dehydrated. FWIW, the idea of eating fatty food is gross to me, too. But the reality of what I actually do eat looks pretty healthy actually. Ground turkey and spinach, salmon and broccoli, chicken and brussels sprouts, sausage and sauerkraut, bacon and eggs, broth, limited nuts/cheese. I don't go overboard on the fat I eat. I'm mindful of my portions and if I snack I stick to things like avocado, olives and other snacks. Keto gets rid of ravenous hunger caused by blood sugar swings and that puts you in control of what/when/how much you eat. I never find myself grabbing something/anything/whatever because I don't get starving like that on Keto.
