Relying on auto drive is a bad idea. Sounds like he wants the car to drive for him. That's dangerous. He should take the train!


I have one like this. You have to keep your hands on the wheel or it will disengage. The car has faster reflexes than a human.


In the market for a new car. What kind of car is this please?


Audi. For the model we got (A4), you have to get the highest trim level to get all the drive assistance features. Worth it for me as I find stop and go traffic really annoying, so it does all the stop and go stuff.

Even the $15k was too expensive since I only made about $25k that year. I'm happy as hell with my "banged-up-will-never-die" car. It's cheap to fix and cheap to insure.

There is a huge difference in features. I've only driven cheaper cars that I drive till it does make sense and now that I am older I'm tired of it. My next car will be something fun and around $50K. We don't have a huge income, but a good one and are savers so paying cash. Life is short. If it makes you happy, why not?

I genuinely don’t understand it either. I have a family member who recently got a new Mercedes. I myself recently got a new Nissan. In complete seriousness, I love my Nissan much more and I think the inside feels richer.

I buy luxury cars after they come off their first lease. They are certified pre-owned and still under warranty but way less expensive than if you buy new. Luxury cars are usually made better and reliability is important to me.
