The preferred plural is "buses." Pet peeve.

My DD who graduated last year said this is a horrible idea allowing buses into that already tight and dangerous student lot. Still have another one at the school so waiting to see how this turns out, but unlikely that the outcome will be positive.

The tiny lot by the football field was opened up as a drop off and pick up location this year. It is too small to divert all parents to that lot which might be tge recourse as of October 1 with the principal's announcement. If traffic backs up on Gainsborough, busses in the main bus loop will not be able to exit.

As far as the big faculty lot by the main entrance, parents are prevented by school security from entering in the morning but there is no enforcement in the afternoon. It is a large lot that should be open for parents if the other lot is closed at 2:30.

2 kids at Churchill and I haven't hear about this. What teams?

It's mind blowing what a poor decision this is.

Is the school supposed to work in the interest of most of the students of just those who have tutors and lacrosse? They are trying to find the best way to get everyone in and out at the EXACT same time. It is never gonna be quick or easy.

If the interest is for most of the students, these are Special Ed busses. There are more students utilizing the student parking lot and car loop then ride these busses. This clearly was a short sided decision by a principal who is out of touch with the community.

I’m not impressed with my principal at a W middle, but he sure has a thankless job. There’s no winning, I’ll give him that.

Everything can’t be done by committee. If you have an alternate suggestion, just weigh in.

The teacher lot is twice the size of the student lot and does not have the traffic flow and students walking through the lot at 2:30 that the student lot has.

With planning, the faculty lot could be repainted so the busses could line up along the sidewalks. This should have been done over the summer.

That parking lot is dangerous enough with the carpool line mixed up with the student drivers. There is a parking lot right next to the student lot that is used by the faculty and would be a much better place than the already crowded and congested student lot (the only parking lot they are allowed to use). Unless of course the teachers can't wait until 2:40 to leave. Sorry, but this will probably be a huge bottleneck and make that parking lot even more dangerous than it is.

Ok, wait YOU don't want to wait on the street to pick up your child but you think the teachers should wait so you don't have to be inconvenienced! Christ. And to think everyone thinks it is the private school parents who are the entitled jerks.
