Yes I watched the entire post match coverage. Serena said that Osaka played “well”
which was just absurd. Serena got her ass nicked and she couldn’t acknowledge that she was outplayed in every facet of the game? Her feeble “don’t boo” nonsense was pathetic.

All of the women’s tennis players support the Williams sisters. They are the sole reason why their winners checks are over $3 million and equal to the men’s. They have done wonders for the women’s tennis game.

Man here. Interesting how some of you don’t care at all how women are treated differently than men in tennis. I guess that’s why women will never get the respect that men do.

This. She was around Naomi’s age when she won her first grand slam and I’m sure remembers how special that moment was. Poor Naomi celebrated her moment with in tears and all of the focus on her opponent instead of how well she played...I hope Serena does some self reflection after this.


I can imagine how uncomfortable it would feel winning under these circumstances. You'd always be questioning the win and wondering if other people might be questioning it. It would have been better if they'd been allowed to play all the way through.
