If a player is good, college coaches will be interested. Clubs would have you believe that you cannot do it without their special connections to college coaches to get your $$$$. I know someone whose daughter played for one of local non-ECNL non-DA club and she got scholarship to Div. 1 college. As a freshman, she got her first call up to U18 WNT. You don't have to belong to a particular club to make it.

Wins in VA in ages u15,u16,u17,u18/19 (recruiting ages)

McLean 19 from 30 games McLean 63%
BRYC 17 from 28 games BRYC. 61%
Richmond United 16 from 32 Richutd 50%
VDA 6 from 36 games VDA. 17%
Loudoun 5 from 28 games Loudoun 18%

I guess nobody will be getting recruited from Loudoun and VDA. At least VDA has strong ECNL teams in younger age groups.

Most likely will all leave

I think VDA younger teams will probably stay together. Maybe FCV recruits a player or two, but I would be surprised to see a big movement.

I would be surprised if they stay, college coaches will be familiar with McLean/BRYC/FCV

to the score poster, please continue, your effort to record is much appreciated. To those that don’t appreciate it, pass it by and move on. no need to chastize.

And what did you accomplish with that info a whole day earlier?

I can't wait till the shiny new toy of your club being in a new league wares off and folks can go back to not given a crap about what every other club is doing or how they played.

Why are you all just posting scores that are on the league website? Exactly what meaningful discussion is expected to come out of this?

The U16 score is not correct. BRYC beat Richmond. They are 3-0 with 9 goals scored and only 1 against.

U16 score is correct.

What the club tells you and what the coach does can be very different

At U15, they will recruit heavily from other clubs and replace BRYC kids, who played on their U13-U14 teams, with better players that were developed elsewhere.

As Will McLean and FCV? And other top clubs in the area....

Can't speak for FCV, but McLean will. However, the ability to recruit extensively does not always translate into excellence in coaching/developing players.

Can we stick to posting scores, and talking about ECNL games and not club philosophy....
