This is definitely a mystery. The mom always seemed to be reading a magazine. But, the missing parents both died -- it's mentioned in the pilot (which didn't air very often). Still, weird that they never talked about their dead parents -- if the show had been made 10 yrs later they'd probably have dealt with it in multiple "very special episodes".
I swear that one of them was divorced, not widowed. I could be wrong, though.
That's right. They didn't say it explicitly but Carol was supposedly divorced.

The actress's parents wanted more money, so Judy went up the stairs and never came back!

Really it was the Howells and Ginger. Everyone else pretty much wore the same thing but some mysteries will never be answered.
What were the Howell's even doing on that tiny boat on a group tour? They were old school, upper crust, Mayflower descendant, pre-Groupon, billionaires driving Hondas, ring the bell to summon the maid rich. Back then no way would those types have mingled with commoners on a group tour. Also, how were they abe to construct a mini-city on a deserted island, but couldn't patch a hole in a boat? Tom Hanks tied some logs together, chopped up a porta potty, glued together a couple coconuts and voila, he got off the island.

Revival--Rory and Logan never acknowledge that she turned down his proposal before he got engaged to the other woman or the fact that he quit his family business.
IIRC, when news of the revival first hit the airwaves, Amy Sherman Palladino was asked if there was anything that happened in Season 7 that she was going to undo in the revival. She mentioned that there was only one thing that she was upset about and that they could work around it. All sources thought it was Logan's proposal. I think that belief was solidified when the revival aired because Lorelai and Luke end up talking about her brief season 7 marriage to Christopher, and because Lane and scruffy-guy are still married. The only thing that ASP ignored was the Logan proposal.
I hated that revival btw - talk about plot holes. Oh yeah, Rory was a 35 year old wunderkind who apparently did NOTHING but write one published article between graduating from Yale and the winter she returns to Stars Hollow. She should've just married Logan.
Interesting...i thought the one thing she didn't like was the fact that Lane had kids. The revival was definitely written as season 7/8 imo. The timing would make so much more sense for Rory if she were 22-25 and straight out of college rather than 35.
Wait? I thought Rory was supposed to be 30?
Was she really supposed to be 35 and still aimlessly looking for jobs and having done nothing? Doesn’t make sense...

Anonymous wrote:I am re watching Nurse Jackie for the 3rd time or so over the years and I can never get past the fact that no one at her place of employment knows she's married or has kids yet she's been there 20 years. I am a nurse so I know how intimately we all get to know each other and even the hard ass outsiders we gather the basic facts from over the years. Plus she has a 7 and 9 year old so if she's been there 20 years they would remember her being pregnant. She has a long term affair with the pharmacist who's apparently been there 10 years but he never knew she was pregnant/know she's married with kids. Its just a very unrealistic aspect of a fairly realistic show! What are some plot holes of your favorite series?
