Loudoun 1 - Arlington 2
Someone recorded this game and put it up on YouTube, if anyone is interested - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1BBGDvnqcI

DCU 05 will be much stronger this year, and Doradus 05 much weaker, as already evidenced at the OBGC this week-end.
Hope so. We have to play them in NCSL D1 this year.

Anonymous wrote:Looks like the only local teams in action last weekend were DCU v VDA. Pretty strong results for DCU in most age groups. A close 2-1 game for the U19s went DCU's way, and the VDA U15s pulled off an upset with a 4-3. I'm not too surprised they won, but I'm not sure how a team with 2 starting CBs, GK, and DCM all in the YNT pool gives up 4 goals.
Anyone know what's going on with VDA's 05 group? They were strong last year, but this weekend they got smashed 6-0, and I heard they only had 2 subs.

Kind of cool that they put the emblem of the last club each kid played at, so you can see how much player movement there has been, and from where. It also gives a little bit of credit to the former club for developing the player.
Looks like the U16/17s got 4 from that Arlington national championship team.
Yes, it is interesting and nice to see where players came from. Doesn’t Arlington have some kind of relationship/connection with DC United? (For what it’s worth, 3 of the 4 U16/17 Arlington players were with Arlington for only one year, having moved over from Bethesda South). With @40 players on the U16/17 “team”, how does playing time work? Are game rosters announced each week?
Yes, game rosters announced each week. This is also the age group that will have a u16 team in EDP. Still, playing time will be very limited fit some.
Thanks, how the local DA systems (DC, Bethesda, VDA) all work and compare has been somewhat of a mystery. Approximately 40 members were announced as on the team, but 22 listed on the USDDA website roster, about equal number of 2002s and 2003s. What are the other 18 -- do they make up the EDP 16 team you refer to? Are they all eligible to play in DA games? Are they all DPs -- or what I think are now called part-time players? I thought there was a maximum of around 24 full time and part-time players.
