and if you re-married, your new DH would feel the same as OP. You can say this right now because you still love your DH. You might feel a bit differently if you were to divorce.

Of course, she will always remain a part of him, but if he's spent time and money covering up other tattoos.. why not her name?

As a woman who has my husband's name tattooed on me even if we separated I would never cover it up. He was and always will be a part of my life and covering up a tattoo wouldn't stop that. We have children together and are a family even if divorced.

My husband also feels the same way.
