Subject: boring conversations with DH

Any (non-insulting) ideas to get him to change the subject? Even when I try to talk about something else, the conversation inevitably turns back to this kind of stuff.
My DW is exactly the same! Every detail of her workplace, what someone said, what happened at each meeting and concall... drives me crazy but the alternative is naggery about chores, home projects and other mundane s**t! No escape..

My wife complains that I don’t tell her enough about my day at work and I feel the same as you - why would she care about that?

Your wives are interested in you. They care about you. They like thinking about you. Your work is a huge chunk of your life that your wife is not a part of; therefore, she’s hungry to know more about it. You should take that as a compliment. Would you really prefer a disinterested, detached wife? Presumably, since you married her, at some point you liked that she found you a fascinating subject.

Sure. Accomplishments are great. What is not great is the incessant complaining about the stupidity of others. I'd really prefer to hear about accomplishment or good ideas his co-workers have.

Female here. It's actually quite sexy to hear about a man's work. Even sexier to see it. One reason why workplace affairs are so common, it's just really hot to see a guy good at his job.
The complaining, maybe not so much, but I love hearing about accomplishments.
