You might want to stay off of the "money and finances" forum if this type of discussion offends your delicate sensibilities.

Agreed. You can just choose not to respond. Many are curious how they're doing compared to others. In my case, it may inspire more frugality to see people with lower HHI's with a lot more net worth.

Thanks for this. I thought I was the only one on this forum counting my investments in the hundreds of thousands, not the millions. I make about $200k and have around $650-700 saved for retirement. Some of the numbers on here are mind-boggling.

47 - HHI $1.5-$3.0mm depending on bonus
Savings and liquid investments of $12mm + $~5mm in private equity / company equity

... but I'm mostly in sales, so I guess I'm also disliked by everyone, so that sucks.

OP here. I work for a company with a good match, and so I get to the max 401(k) contribution each year (which I believe is now $55,000). Same for before I had kids.

These threads are hilarious

Please, one of you post a "we're not RICH though we are barely making it only saving $20k per month after maxxing out our IRAs" after this.

One income or two? Any kids?

Top 15 undergrad? Is that a thing? What schools are even down that low?

Haha. You must not know what "by definition" means. And those of us in sales with $1mm+ incomes would rather be in sales than be poor and self righteous.

No doubt. But everyone not in sales thinks you are insufferable nimrods

Oh I'm sure that's what you and the others at your table have thought about all the more popular and successful people throughout your life. It's one of our favorite things chuckle about ... in the fleeting moments that we even notice you.

You are profoundly stupid. You no doubt sell widgets and live in NA or Assburn. Im guessing VA Tech or JMU and lots of beer on the weekend. Right bro?

Haha. Top 15 undergrad, top 5 MBA. Live in one of the neighborhoods that's is on all the threads here about 'desirable' places to live. I sell a service that I suspect you wouldn't understand, but I'm smart enough to know not to make generalizations without data. Your vitriol and narrow mindedness, however, gives me a good clue that you're likely not a dynamic enough thinker to really get it. I applaud your confidence though ... if I was half as good as you at understanding the "definition" of all people in a highly variable role, or knowing what "everyone ... thinks" I would be even more successful!
