My friend truly believes that smoking with her husband has made all the difference in the world in regard to their marriage. The two of them share a bowl or a joint after the kids are in bed and asleep a couple nights a week as a way to wind down and enjoy one another. My friend thinks she might be divorced by now if they did not have this outlet. I tend to agree with her...
Here was our list of benefits:
-Out of this world sex that is fun and feels fantastic! If you have not had sex high, then please add it to your bucket list (not going to lie, this was the number one thing for the both of us)
-Lots of great laughs and deep conversations that really allow you to get to know the other person on a deeper level
-A way to wind down together that does not lead to a terrible hangover, which when you get to your late 30's seems to be what happens when either of us drinks more than 2 glasses of wine
-We both wake up refreshed and ready for work/life/kids, etc without having to nurse a water and take half a bottle of Asprin.
-Exploration of new music together, or bonding over your favorite songs or bands...or even watching a binge-worthy Netflix show that makes you crack up
-It is more affordable than a night out/date night and just as much fun, if not more if you are with the right person
Anyway, we were curious about others in DC, who also see the benefits of smoking weed with a partner and if you have your own list of benefits?
What would you do if your child woke up with a medical emergency?
Call 911. No different than all the women on DCUM who drink their wine.

I really don't care what other adults do, but I am concerned about the societal acceptance of it as it affects my teenagers. The kids who use pot in my kids' circles today are no different from the "potheads" I knew when I was in college 30 years ago. They're not exactly the overachievers.

“it’s awesome, my spouse and I are so close now because we share needles and nod-off together. You get to know someone so well after cleaning up their sticky track marks before taking your kids to their grandparents house! Y’all should try it!!”
