Yea, but it also depends on what your end game is. If you wanted to be a SCOTUS clerk right out of law school, for example, "prestige" matters.

Yes. If you aspire to the top rungs of the legal profession it helps. Also helps in getting entry level jobs at investment banks and big consulting. My impression for professions like engineer it Doesn’t matter.

I know a lot of elite alums working normal 9-5s. Desperate striver parents who think HYPS is going to change their kid's or family's life are stupid. Be thankful you got extra financial aid, but other than that it's absolutely not some ticket punched into the private jet class. Matter of fact, the "Euro trash" wannabes all hang with each other and you're not breaking in with the Exeter/Andover/Sidwell kids, either.
