Both 2023 teams are good.

If you think that’s an comparable you know nothing about girls lacrosse. They played completely different teams and the level of play at those two tournaments was huge. . G8 is invitation only and has the best clubs from around the country. The 2022s played in the top bracket too.
My DD is on Stars 2022 black and played at Top Flight. Here are the reasons her team was 0 and 4 at the tournament:
1) The team had ONE sub. Six of her teammates didn't bother to show up and only one of them had a reasonable excuse. Parents of our opponents would come up to us Stars parents and offer their sympathy for our daughters on the field.
2) The team has not had consistent coaching since the fall season. Promises made and not kept by the organization resulted in an almost revolving door of coaching at practices and tournaments, including this past weekend at Top Flight.
3) Lack of commitment from team members. At any given practice this spring and summer my DD was lucky if half her teammates would show up for practice. And since you can't play a game if you bench half the girls for not coming to practice, there were no consequences.
Under these circumstances, when the handful of girls who are both really good and serious, committed players on the team get screwed by their teammates and the organization, it is hard to win.
You are insane. No one cares.

I think one poster here is way too obsessed with Black v. Blue. Really hard to believe that the Blue coaching is that much better when both teams do very well in tournaments and NGLL.
Um because they don’t. The black teams are not nearly as good, dont play in the same bracket as blue, and don’t necessarily even play in the same tournaments by 8th. There is a definite difference.
Several players changed teams between blue and black after the recent tryouts from what my DD is hearing.
