Um, are you even married? If so, were you beaming and clutching your husband's hand every waking moment after you returned? My spouse and I had an awesome honeymoon, but constant PDA’s not our thing. Also, it’s just not a realistic expectation of people’s behavior post-honeymoon.

To me, Meghan looks stifled/like she is hating the restraints already in those pics. Of course, that's a ridiculous leap, because pics capture a fraction of a second, but the pics give me that vibe.

It seems like she very much loves Harry. But for an American, who has had immense freedom and success in her own right, it must be very challenging to go to having all these arcane rules and procedures governing your everyday life.

The off the shoulder dress is beautiful, but I was surprised by it too. It doesn't seem like she's integrating into royal life as much as barely complying and still trying to make a statement of independence.

Royalty marrying Americans, in the very rare circumstances it has happened, doesn't have a great track records. It's different enough for an English-born person to make that transition, let alone the difference between American and English mindsets on independence, making a scene, being outspoken, etc.

They are grown ups who have travelled together many times, not teenagers or twenty somethings marrying their high school or college sweethearts. Going back to "work" soon after your wedding is not a marital hardship. If it is then they are in for a short painful marriage. Somehow, I suspect that they are just fine with this arrangement.

Going to your FIL's morning birthday tea right after your wedding would be the pits though.

And just think about the huge deal that Meghan and Harrys' wedding was. They were constantly "On" and in the spotlight. I can totally see them *needing* a getaway to enjoy being married before heading right into their official royal duties.

Let them bask in the glow for a little while before putting them in their place. Good grief.
