Never thought in a million years I would ask this question but: what are white people going to do about addressing the radicalization of young white men? The Sante fe shooter, the Texas bomber, Sandy Hook shooter, columbine, Parkland, racist/warrior cop police officers taking out young black kids, recent lynchings of black people in the south...all these events were conducted by people with Associations or interest in white supremacist and far right ideologies. Im disappointed but not surprised that major media is not picking up on these connections. But seriously: whenever other groups complain, we always point to “Chicago” or LA. We pin the blame back and ignore valid concerns. This is despite the thousands of non profits and activists in those communities that are working to fix issues in their own communities. What are white people doing to fix their issues? Can we have a mature stand-alone discussion about this w/o putting down other ethnicities. Or maybe we simply like the idea of American schools being more dangerous than Afghanistan as long as we don’t address the elephant in the room?

How about stop bashing them and support them as we do girls and minorities?

OP here. White victimhood? Are you kidding me? I’m white. People who look like me have economic or military control over damn near every other country in the world. I live in a country where I have to TRY to find places where I’m not the majority or employers where ppl who look like me are not in charge.
You want to know who is responsible for increasing suicide rate and inequality associated w/white males? Yep, thats right: other white males. What’s happening today is effectively mass scale white on white crime. And instead of working with other disenfranchised groups, where race is an actually an obstacle for them, we are supposed to stop and give hugs and preference to disaffected white people? Treat them like minorities?? LOL White ppl, I’m sorry to say are so afraid of being treated like a minority, that we have co-opted fascism.

When my grandmother was born, women didn't have the right to vote. When my parents went to high school, they were still segregated. Women and people of color have been widely regarded as inferior for CENTURIES, relegated to slaves and servants, robbed of the power to control their own destinies. And you are whining about manspreading? Here is victim mentality at its finest. You poor precious snowflake.

I still can’t believe a bunch of rich city women are arguing about the cause of middle class white teens in the suburbs and assigning motives to their actions.

Listen, bitter fool - you’re the “wow” poster too - please re-read your PUA sites and updated Promise Keepers crap. You give not one screw for kids, for school violence, or much else. Just shut up and find a board that won’t offend your wholesale and deserved lack of self-respect.

Well, when you see a backlash, don't say you weren't warned.

So you think that because people talk about "white privilege" or "mansplaining", you think that a backlash is justified. You really are a snowflake.

Of course I would never have done something like that but I could certainly understand it. I hated the other kids in my school.

Look, there are alternative schools and programs for “at risk youth”. You know, the bullies headed for prison. There are no programs for the bullied and when you’re experiencing varying degrees of bullying every day it gets to you. Combine that with raging hormones and teenage male testosterone levels and you get very angry kids.

I eventually took martial arts and after another student tried to attack me in gym class (it didn’t go well for him since I had a couple years of training at that point) no one tried to physically bully me again. That doesn’t mean there weren’t other types of bullying. Kids saying things constantly. Emotional bullying and so on. There is no help for the white teen kid that doesn’t fit in and has few friends.

I had to think long and hard before posting this so go easy on me...

Thanks for not killing people!

Hah yeah funny. I mostly found consolation knowing that I would succeed in life. Plenty of the cool kids are still back in the small to medium sized town I grew up in. I’m far more successful than they are now. A surprising number of them are actually dead from opioids.

I wasn't joking. High school is hard.

And cheers to being successful while the cool kids rot! It must really suck to peak in high school.

Thanks. . I wonder how common it is for people to peak in high school? Based on my sample of one, quote a few did. I have noticed some of the other kids that tended to be nice to me are doing well. Looking back, some of them were probably having a tough time too. It’s a shame that as an ackward youth I couldn’t really talk to them. I feel like helping the bullied kids wouldn’t just reduce school shootings but also suicides (and this was really what I contemplated).

I have read the incels and red pills forums on Reddit. My blood has been chilled. I have seen and I have been warned. But I still can't change the fact that white men aren't oppressed.

You really just don’t get it. I told you my high school experience and it seems like you are implying it never happened because I’m a white male. It happened, I was tortured in high school and I hated the other kids. And for your information, it was a largely white high school. They were other white kids bullying me.

I must have missed your high school experience post. Sorry. I'm not saying that it never happened because you are a white male. I'm saying what does being white male have to do with a terrible high school experience? Lots of kids of various genders and colors have a terrible high school experience. What does white kids picking on another white kid have to do with the "demonization of white males?" I really don't see the connection.

While all that you said is true there was no 24 hour news, social media and crazy press coverage constantly bombarding any of the above with nonstop negative messages. Are you deliberate obtuse or in your rush to insult someon's snowflake," just unable to acknowledge that the poster actually has valid points. You don't have to have a PhD studying human behavior to recognize the negative effects of constant negative feedback.

No his points are not valid. They might feel valid to him, but they don't reflect reality. Turn off the news. No human should watch the news all day- that would destroy anyone's psyche. Read a book and better yourself.
