Is this for the community pool or the officer's club pool?

KG member again...If I remember right, last summer they had mommy and me swim classes for the little ones as well as small group classes for the preschoolers. The wading pool is perfect for toddlers. Very shady too which is nice on those hot days. They also have bbq's an picnic tables on the deck so sometimes we would go late and just grill dinner after pool time. We really love it.

I looked on the website listed above, and boy oh boy is it complicated to figure things out! My daughter, 8, would like to swim on a swim team. Does anyone have a number where I can call to find out what teams/pools have openings for an 8 yr old to swim? We are in Bethesda, but I am happy to travel with her if needed. She swims during the year at YMCA but just for lessons, not on a team, and she very much would like to join a team (and is a good little swimmer so I think would be able to do well).

Thanks.

Does Kent Gardens have any activities for younger children (toddlers)? I'm interested in joining but trying to decide whether or not the pricetag is "worth it" while my daughter is still so little. Thanks for any input!!

There are also pool memberships at some of the hotels- The Hilton on Conn. Avenue and the hotel overlooking Rock Creek Park up by Woodley Park- the name is escaping me.

We just joined PG Pool, a coop pool in Mt. Rainier. We've been before as guests. Our neighbor kids are on the swim team and love it! http://www.pgpool.org/ We live in Brookland DC -- many Brooklanders are members there.

Our pool, Tilden WOods, has a very competitive swim team. They are looking for new members. There are plans to upgrade the pool over the coming years. try Tildenwoodspool.org

Anonymous wrote:I second Mohican as a fun and laidback pool and we have many friends who are equally happy at Little Falls, Bannockburn, Palisades, Merrimack and Tally Ho. I think the key is to be at a pool close by. You won't want to make an effort to schlep there if you have multiple or young kids. Having it be convenient is the primary thing - especially if your kids are doing swim team.

Does anyone know what the Bannockburn primary area is? I live in the primary area for Mohican - is there any overlap?

Can someone clarify if the Ft. Myer pool is only for military/DoD or if ANY government employee (GS7 or whatever and above) can join?
