I think these feelings are pretty normal, OP. I have had friends in the same boat. The feeling seems to pass. I think it is great for women to be honest about their true feelings-so often, we are made to feel guilty about emotions that are beyond our control. While you certainly shouldn't share these feelings with your children, it is totally fine to seek an outlet to just process. I hope you have a smooth pregnancy, and best of luck with your little girls!

OP, I think you were lucky you got another girl. I don’t know how far apart your kids are, but if your second were a boy, it’s like let he would mature much later than your daughter thereby increasing the difference. I have a younger brother who is only 2 years younger. We love each other, but we were not close until he was 20+. I had boyfriends in highschool and he was still watching kids tv shows. Of every adult mixed sex si kings I know, if the woman was older, the kids were likely not close until adulthood. I am sure there are plenty of exceptions, but this is my own experience. If you had a boy first, then a girl (or another boy) would have been great too!

I have 2 girls, and the second is a huge tomboy whom I suspect will be (or is?) a lesbian. She is so boyish that I kind of feel like I have a boy (and all strangers think she is a boy), and will probably someday have a daughter in law.

Point being-- you never know what your kids will become!

Love having two girls. So amazing. Would not want it any other way

I wish I was having another girl (or boy). Instead I got four miscarriages. Be happy that your daughter will have a little sister to grow up with.

Tribe means a group of related people. That article makes alot of incorrect assumptions about the meaning and implications of the word. It's looking very hard for insults where they don't exist.
