This was a calculated move. Once Trump disavowed knowledge of the payment on April 6, he opened the campaign up to a FEC reporting problem. Anyone wanna wager that the first purported “repayment” took place after April 6 in the form of a retainer, with the balance after the FBI served the warrants on Cohen?
