I love a home made one. But the gluey canned ones are disgusting.

Blueberries have an odd taste to me when cooked, and there's something so blue and mushy about them that is unappealing.

On the other hand, I love cherry pie. It's right up there with pumpkin for one of my favorites.

I just don’t like any fruit pies. Warm and Mushy fruit just make me sick thinking about it- it’s a texture thing for me, I love fruit ( including blueberries ) but baked into a pie- just a no for me.

Any fruit pie they isn't cloyingly sweet is fine by me. It's when there's too much sugar that I say, "no thank you," or pass the plate to my husband (who will eat any pie, any time).

Yes, as a baker cherries are my least fav to work with. Blueberries on the other hand are my favorite! I love a blueberry/cranberry combo

Sour cherry pies are the best. It’s a lot of work but well worth it.

Here's mine: 5 cups of blueberries, zest and juice of a lemon, 3/4 c sugar, 1/2 c flour, 1/8 t salt, 2T cornstarch, 1/2 t vanilla, 1/2 t cinnamon. Combine all of this in a pie crust, dot with 2 T diced butter. Top with pie crust, brush with a beaten egg and sprinkled sugar and bake at 400 degrees about 40 minutes.

I use Ina Garten's perfect pie crust (the one you make in a food processor).

Anyone make a blueberry pie for the holiday? Mine turned out great and I'm having a slice for breakfast with some Greek yogurt.

I prefer cobbler, and I couldn't care less which fruit is used.

Trader Joe’s wild blueberry pie was really good when I tried it a few years back.

Nope - blueberry pies are not my thing. Texture and depth of flavor is all wrong. Much prefer (in order): apple, peach, strawberry, cherry, blackberry pies.

Trader Joe’s actually has a decent one.
Epicurious has a good one that is a blueberry sour cream custard pie (solves the runny problem).

My least favorite fruit pie is peach—I love peaches but cooked peaches somehow get a bitter taste. I want to love it but I don’t.

The best peach is a good crust but fresh ripe uncooked peaches in a gelatin basr
