We took our 11 YO to see it while n Chicago, did not take our 9 YO.
As much as my 11 YO loved it - a few points: It is a long show. In Chicago, we went to an evening performance and it did not wrap up until after 11. A big part of the story is being bribed for having an affair. It is complex for young children to follow.
