Maybe the fact that people are living there and not experiencing any problems shows that > 20 years later the oil spill has been remediated.

But some are very close to the oil spill area, and people bought and are living in those, too. Which I find bizarre.

It's one thing to avoid buying a house on Tovito Drive. It's another thing to avoid buying any house in Mantua, since most are not very close to the oil spill area.

To add, WTF does it add to your (posters mentioned above) particular neighborhood to sh&t on someone else's neighborhood, or make claims that imaginary issues are "wrong" with someone else's neighborhood? I read such accusations often, and I am wondering if such claims make alternative neighborhoods look bad. I know that the claims make me question the posters (and their sanity), whether the claims are overly "pro" (claims about "how great" the neighbors supposedly are) or overly "con" (cons usually involve airplane noise or similar claims). As many people pointed out, the area affected by the spill is but a TINY part of the larger mantua area.

Many parts of Mantua are not that cheap at all.. In fact, it has good schools so in many parts and the surrounding area there is no real discount to speak of.
